Why You Should Consider Applying for Patanjali Franchise Business
Patanjali Ayurved Limited was founded as a small pharmacy in Haridwar in 1997 by P.P. Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj. The success of the company is now a part of boardroom discussion in every corporate in India and abroad.
The concept of the company is little different from other consumer product companies. Yoga Guru Ramdev became a household name through yoga programs in a television channel called Astha. While Ramdevji was busy in propagating yoga, his other partner channelized the trust and goodwill earned by selling products of Patanjali.
Patanjali brand turned out to be more a Swadeshi movement rather than a consumer product selling company. The mission statement of the company very aptly states
“The concept for forming this Company was to link the rising destiny of millions of rural masses on the one hand and many more suffering and leading unhealthy urban lifestyle on the other. The Vision of the Respected Swami Ramdevji Maharaj, the renowned YOGA GURU, and Sri Acharya Balkrishnaji, made the concept into writing through formation of the Company (PATANJALI AYURVED LIMITED)”
Patanjali’s success mantra has been to make products available to the consumer at the most reasonable price. As a result, most of the products come at a substantial discount to existing alternatives.
A report in Times of India today claims that the company made a turnover of about Rs 1,200 crore in fiscal 2015, up from about Rs 850 crore a year earlier and Rs 450 crore in fiscal 2012. And in the current fiscal, Patanjali is expected to clock a turnover of Rs 2,000 crore, a 67% jump from the previous fiscal year.
On March 2012 Ramdevji announced his entry into the fast moving consumer goods and herbal retail markets with his ‘swadeshi’ line of products, the yoga guru today has emerged as one of India’s most successful brand ambassadors in India.
It is estimated that by FY20, PAL would be able to garner double-digit market share in ten of the 25 categories.
The distribution network of 150-200 dedicated outlets in 2012 has grown to almost 4,000 now, propelling PAL to sell the FMCG range in the open market too.
To be a part of the Patanjali’s business network is no doubt a profitable and rewarding proposition.
